Blurt It Out!
Posted by Jerry Osborne on Monday, December 31, 2012
I want people in this church to know where I stand. I believe in scattering the Word without a second thought! I believe in “blurting it out.” I believe in compelling people to be saved. Yes, drag them to Jesus if you have to. This is what I believe, and I don’t care who knows it or what they think about it.
As I have told you before, I was saved the first time I heard the Gospel. No one was ever more unlikely to be saved than Jerry Osborne, with his background. Praise God Pastor Walters had not heard the teaching that is going around in fundamental churches today, so he blurted it out, compelled me, and by the grace of God, I passed from death unto life. I told him, “Later”, but he said, Now, Jerry.”
If, God forbid, the day ever comes when we are not winning souls, may we at least not try to excuse ourselves by embracing a “made-up” doctrine. This is not the answer. Falling on our faces before God is the answer!
We here [at Community Bible Church] have tasted the “glory” of seeing precious souls saved. I would not go back to dead orthodoxy for all the gold in the world. Let us keep talking about Jesus. Let us compel people to be saved. This is God’s way; this is Bible! “There’s no business like soul business.”
